Climbing The Great Wall

          Every Au Pair in China wants to visit the country’s biggest star — The Great Wall. There is an old saying “He who has not climbed the Great Wall is not a true man” ,Dana, an Au Pair from Europe climbed it several times.  Her parents and friends went to visit her so they climbed The Great Wall all together, even her Chinese host family were not missing.
         The Great Wall, like the Pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal in India and the Hanging Garden of Babylon, is one of the great wonders of the world.  Although the official number of the length of the Great Wall is 8851.8 kilometers (5500 miles), the length of all the Great Wall built over thousands of years is estimated at 21,196.18 kilometers (13,170 miles). The circumference of the Equator is 40,075 kilometers (24,901 miles).
 

         It took them a long time to climb the Great Wall, but when they went to the top, they knew that it was worth it. They made lots of selfies to remember that wonderful day.
   The experience of climbing the Great Wall gave them a lot. They will not forget it. As a cultural heritage, the Wall belongs not only to China but to the world.
