Our au pair from Holland, Pim, is interested in Chinese culture a lot. His host grandfather is a master in taichi. He practices it every day in the morning and in the afternoon. He wants to teach Pim how to do it. Pim is very eager to learn this traditional Chinese martial art. Taichi might look easy, but in fact it demands lots of strength and patience. Pim is a very good student and he grasps taichi quite fast. Not only is it good for his body, but it is also a great way to tighten the family relations. After exercises the whole family has some Chinese tea and delicious lunch. Being an au pair in China enables you to learn Chinese and to get to know Chinese customs, cuisine and habits. You can experience a typical everyday Chinese life.
